On this week’s episode we’re discussing the ancient origins which inform our collective cultural superstition of Friday the 13th. We talk about some of the bad things which have happened, if an unlucky day can be measured statistically and the mysteriously connected stories from both Norse mythology and The Bible which strongly inform our belief in Friday the 13ths dreaded unluckiness. We also begin to tell the tale of how Friday the 13th has strong roots in the history of The Knights Templar and address a huge piece of the puzzle that I’ve never heard outside of my own research. In the extended version of the episode we continue with the history of the Knights Templar and dive right into what exactly made them such an unprecedented force on the world stage. We talk about what made them exceptional among other knights and members of the Church before finally digging into the shocking details of the heresies and secret initiatory rituals which were accused of the Templars during their spectacular downfall. In the end we discuss their continued legacy, how it relates to Friday the 13th and take a rare deep dive on the esoteric truths contained in the symbol of The Baphomet. Thank you and enjoy the show!
